What is "Day of the Dog"?
August is known as the unofficial birthday month for shelter pets, since many rescued animals’ birthdays are unknown. To honor them, Doggy Noses & Yoga Poses hosts an annual nationwide event called Day of the Dog and this year, it’s bigger than ever, commemorating DNYP’s 8th anniversary!
Join fellow dog lovers, yogis, and community members for this joyful, impactful event where you can:
Take a 45-minute mixed-level yoga class
Enjoy 15 minutes of Snuggasana, a cuddle session with adoptable pups
Sip on a refreshing post-yoga pint (21+)
Help raise vital funds and awareness for local animal shelters and rescues

Doggy Noses & Yoga Poses is the original national pop-up event series that combines yoga, community, and the magic of adoptable dogs. What began in Belmar, NJ in 2017 has now grown into a beloved movement across the U.S.
From puppy yoga in NYC to dog yoga in Philly to adoptable dog events in Maryland, DNYP brings tail-wagging joy and meaningful fundraising to every event.
